Women in Experimental Film

Co-curation and production, with Fil Ieropoulos.

A series of six thematic screenings on the history of women's experimental cinema and video art. This was a selection of rarely screened work, some of which were shown in Athens for the first time.
The attempt is to shine light to work that has been left outside of the generally male-centric history of experimental film and introduce the athenian audience to important films.  The screenings were: Part 1: Humor, Dada, Situationism, Part 2: Abstraction, Synesthetics and Poetics, Part 3: Music, Punk, Collage, Part 4: Structuralism and Film Language, Part 5: Intersectionalities; beyond whiteness, Part 6: Video, Art, Gesture. These screenings are aligned with / part of AMOQA's strategy of archiving works that do not fit a patriarchal canon.
